Refund policy
We hope the artwork you’ve chosen will find its rightful place.
If you change your mind, you have 14 days from receipt to request a return, either for an exchange or a refund.
1. First step: notify us
Please contact us at contact@galerievermeulen.com, specifying your order number and the reason for your return.
No return can be accepted without prior approval from the gallery.
2. Return conditions
Artworks must be returned in their original condition, unused, and in their original packaging, carefully protected.
If the returned work is damaged, incomplete, or shows signs of use, the gallery reserves the right to apply a depreciation or refuse the refund.
3. Return costs
Return shipping costs remain the responsibility of the client, in accordance with applicable regulations.
The gallery assists with each return request to ensure a smooth and coordinated process : returns are handled through a specialized carrier appointed by the gallery (no prepaid return label is provided).
A collection quote will be provided when you submit your request; the amount will be deducted from your refund.
If applicable, customs duties and taxes related to returns from outside the EU remain the buyer’s responsibility.
Initial shipping fees, if any, are non-refundable.
4. Collection timeframe
Once your return has been approved, the collection must take place within 7 calendar days. Beyond this period, the return may be refused.
5. Refund
After the artwork has been received and inspected, the refund will be issued to the original payment method within 14 days.
Bank processing times may vary depending on your institution.

6. Damaged artwork upon delivery
All artworks are thoroughly inspected and photographed prior to shipping.
Upon delivery, the carrier unpacks the artwork in the client’s presence and takes timestamped photos confirming its condition at the time of handover.
A delivery slip must be signed by the client to confirm receipt in good condition.
Any anomaly or damage must be reported within 48 hours of receipt, accompanied by photos or videos taken upon opening, before any further handling.
Beyond this timeframe, or in the absence of sufficient proof, the claim may be rejected.
The gallery’s responsibility ends once the artwork has been handed over to the client. Any deterioration occurring after delivery cannot be subject to refund or compensation.
