Preamble

The website www.galerievermeulen.com (hereinafter “the Site”) allows users to purchase original or limited-edition artworks curated and offered by Galerie Vermeulen.
Browsing or placing an order on the Site constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

The Site is operated by Galerie Vermeulen, registered in France under SIREN 792 666 307 and VAT number FR89792666307, with its registered office at 383 rue des Pyrénées, 75020 Paris, France.

1. Purpose

These Terms and Conditions define the terms of use of the Site and the conditions applicable to any purchase made through the online store. They supersede all previous versions or other documents.

2. Access to the Site and Customer Information

Access to the Site is free.
Any order requires the user to provide accurate and up-to-date information (name, address, email, etc.).
This information is necessary to process and deliver orders correctly. Galerie Vermeulen cannot be held liable for delivery failures resulting from incorrect or incomplete information.

3. Artworks

Each artwork listed on the Site is accompanied by a description outlining its key characteristics (technique, format, medium, etc.).
Images are presented as faithfully as possible; however, color variations may occur depending on display screens.
Each artwork is either unique or part of a limited edition and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

4. Prices and Payment

Prices are shown in euros, inclusive of all taxes (TTC).
They do not include shipping costs, which are specified at checkout.

Payment is made online by credit card or bank transfer.
Orders are considered confirmed upon receipt of payment and subject to artwork availability.
If an artwork becomes unavailable after payment, you will be notified as soon as possible and fully refunded.

5. Shipping

Artworks are shipped within 2 to 5 business days following confirmation of payment. You will receive a confirmation email once the shipment has been dispatched.

Shipping fees

  • Mainland France : €60 (flat rate)

  • Europe : by quote (contact us)

  • Other destinations : by quote (contact us)

This flat rate applies to shipments within France regardless of the actual cost of specialized transport.

If the delivery address provided is incorrect or incomplete, reshipment costs will be charged to the buyer.

6. Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with applicable law, you have 14 days from receipt of your order to exercise your right of withdrawal, without providing justification.

Return Procedure

Artworks must be returned in their original condition, carefully protected in their original packaging, and accompanied by all received documents (certificate of authenticity, invoice, etc.).

Before any return, the client agrees to photograph the artwork and its packaging to attest to its condition prior to handing it to the carrier.
These dated photographs, sent to the gallery, serve as proof in the event of damage occurring during transport.

Any return of an artwork showing alterations not reported prior to collection may be refused or subject to a deduction corresponding to the depreciation observed.

Returns are carried out exclusively via a specialized carrier appointed by the gallery.
Return shipping costs are borne by the buyer and correspond to the standard outbound delivery fee.
Refunds of the artwork price and standard delivery costs are processed within 14 business days after the artwork has been received and inspected.

Custom or specially commissioned artworks are neither exchangeable nor refundable.

7. Claims and Damaged Artworks

We invite you to inspect your artwork carefully upon delivery.
The carrier unpacks the work in the client’s presence, takes timestamped photographs of the artwork, and obtains the client’s signature on the delivery slip confirming receipt in good condition.

Any issue (damaged artwork, non-conformity, or order error) must be reported to the carrier and to contact@galerievermeulen.com within 48 hours of receipt, with photos or videos taken upon opening and before any further handling.

Each request will be handled carefully, and when appropriate, an exchange or refund will be arranged.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — texts, images, photographs, artworks, logo, and graphic identity — is protected under copyright law.
Any reproduction, distribution, or use without prior authorization is strictly prohibited.

9. Personal Data

The information collected when placing an order is required for its processing.
It is handled confidentially, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
You may at any time request access, modification, or deletion of your data by contacting contact@galerievermeulen.com.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law.
In the event of a dispute, the gallery favors amicable resolution.
Failing agreement, jurisdiction shall lie with the courts of Paris, France, unless otherwise required by law.
