What's new

CHANOIR | Exclusive series of 8 hand-painted resin sculptures

In this new series entitled Les Vertus , CHANOIR transposes its emblematic "CHA" into a new register, carried by a strong symbolism. Each feline figure, with closed eyes and hands joined in a gesture of meditation, embodies one of the cardinal or theological virtues: Faith, Hope, Charity, Prudence, Temperance, Strength, Justice — accompanied by an artist's proof (EA).

Made of resin, hand-painted and then varnished, these unique works combine the chromatic energy of street art with a more symbolic field of interpretation.

About the artist

Feline icons, visual language and freedom of line

Chanoir (born in Bogota in 1976, lives and works in Paris) is a Franco-Colombian artist from the post-graffiti scene of the 90s. Trained at the Beaux-Arts in Paris, he very early on developed a singular graphic language through his "CHA", feline characters on the border between totem and pop icon.

His work is presented in numerous exhibitions in France and internationally, and is now part of the dialogue between urban art, free figuration and popular culture.
